Ariel: Kiss the Girl dress

After 5 long years, I decided it was time to revisit Ariel. Did you know that when I was a kid, she was my favourite princess?

I really love this "peasant" look for her, and I used this look as an excuse to put into practice some theories I had for Mirabel's outfit.

First of all, I wanted to see if a circular yoke blouse would turn out properly, as well as make a crocheted circle skirt with some clever use of front/back loop crochet to add the frills.

The result is a resounding success, with only minor trickery used to hold the corset in place (as crochet is not very stiff). The back of the corset is actually sewn in place on the blouse to prevent it sliding around!
