Daphne (Scooby-Doo, where are you?)
Just in time for Halloween 2020, a cosplay of an often overlooked member of the Scooby-Doo gang, Daphne Blake – complete with her very own Scooby-Doo!
The idea for this cosplay actually came about when my coworkers and I filmed a spoof of “Scooby-Doo” for a team-building exercise. They cast me as Daphne, and I put my mind to making this cosplay ever since.
This is the first wig that I styled myself. I trimmed the fringe and curled the hair using steam.
The socks were made using this pattern, which I have used at least 4 times before and absolutely love!
Scooby-Doo was made using this pattern. Luckily, I found the perfect set of safety eyes for him in my local craft shop.
I wrote the patterns for the dress and the scarf, they are available in my shop.
I only based this cosplay on the original 1969-1971 series of “Scooby-Doo, Where are you?” and so I did my make-up using a tutorial from 1969. I am very much still learning how to be more bold and precise with my make-up.
Ever since I have moved to Iceland, I have tried to incorporate the natural beauty on my doorstep into my cosplay photos. These photos were taken at lake Rauðavatn in Reykjavik.
