Nordic Sash

A pattern for making your own Nordic-style sash, complete with 2 charts to choose from.

4 mm hook
4.5 mm hook
100g/200 metres DK yarn
I used Ice Yarns Favourite Wool
Yarn needle
Scissors
Comb or brush

Pattern notes
Pattern is worked flat.
The length of the belt can be any multiple of 15 (+ ch 1 for turning). As is, the belt measures about 2m.
Gauge
10 rows and 10 sts of hdc = 10 cm x 10 cm (4” x 4”)

Instructions
With 4.5 mm hook , ch 391
Row 1: sc along the chain, following the chart for the first row. ch 1, turn (390)
Rows 2 - last row of chart: sc along the chain, following the chart for the corresponding row. ch 1, turn unless on last row, in which case, finish off. (390)
Using the method of your choice, add the fringe on either end, lining up the colour of the fringe with the colour of the row it belongs to, then comb out.
Weave in all the ends and profit!
